This week

This week is my bat mitzva and i have pneumonia. Yesterday I went to the docton and he sent me to the hospital and the took blood from under my elbow and i did an x-ray of my thorax. They concluded i have pneumonia but i hope not contageous...

Anyway... I don't feel that bad. Well, on to good things, my doctor and mom say tomorrow my pneumonia is going to be ok... my uncle, aunt, and cousin are going ton get here tonight. My grandparents tommorow night. Im sooo excited and (I know I sound selfcentred but) I know I'm going to do great on saturday! Wish me luck!
PS: Even though some of my really good friends arent going to be able to come, I wish you could and miss you a loooooooooooooottttttttttttt!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Preparations for my Bat Mitzva 1

I finally finished my study course and now I´m consentrating on the singing. It´s been really fun. I´m also playing piano. I´m playing Shma Israel by Sarit Hadad. I´m also singing it. TTYS.

Last Complete day in Brazil

Today we woke up and put our clothes on for a twin bar-mitzva. The ceremony was BORING! But the party looked like HOLLYWOOD!!! There were pictures, columns, huge cars with a bar in the back, huge plastic electric guitars, a huge desert table, wow! it was AWESOME!!

We got back hom at 5:30 aprox. and rested for a while. Then we went out to little stores to get souvenirs for chile. I´m really sad we have to go but I really miss my daddy and want to go home. Well talk to you tommorrow!

What I did today

Today I woke up and Pedro had gone to school already. We had breakfast and stayed at home for a while. Then we went to the beach. I got new sunglasses!! It was warm, good waves, but a little bit windy... Then we came home, took a bath and at 3:30 we were ready to go have lunch. I shared a plate of fetuccini alfredo with my grandma. It was great.

Hey I'm going to do surgery (safe) on my fish. I'm probably going to change most of their colors. But it doesn`t matter.
Bye! I'm going to eat pizza!

Today (already lost count)

Today we woke up and my mom was already gone because she had a tfilin ceremony at 7:00 am. Well when she got back we had already had breakfast.n Later we went to a fort and there was this soldier that didn't move unless another soldier past by. My brother took a picture with him, he was like a statue.

We got back home and had lunch. Then we went to the beach. We came back and took a shower. then we waited for Pedro. That'sm pretty much it!

Brazil Day 4

In the morning we woke up, duh, and had a delicious breakfast. After that, my mom, Pedro, Rafi, and I went to the Rio Sul mall. We first went to a store to change some clothes that were small on me. I got in exchange a bigger puppy shirt and a pair of comber shoes. Their GORGEOUS!! After that we went to a store to get Rafi some fancy shoes to go to the bar-mitzva we have this weekend. 1st we went to this store that had tons of fancy clothes like tuxedoes and leather shoes, and the ones that we needed were... R$300.00! Think of it this way: that´s exactly what a fancy buffet dinner for 7 people cost! Well, we decided to go to this other place were we got better ones for R$69.00. After that we went to this video game place and played for a while. Then we went home.

We had lunch and played on our DS´s. Then we went to see Ice Age 3, again. Then we came home and took a bath, and that´s pretty much it.

The rest of the Day

Later we went to the beach. The water was great and the sun was fabulous. It started getting cold and the sun went away. We started walking away.....
AND THE WIND STARTED BLOWING, harder than I had ever seen before. It made your eyes hurt. Coolers, boxes, chairs and leaves nstarted flying every where. The sand looked like the sea and it was really weird.

Well, now we got home and took a bath and that´s pretty much it.

Hey, I discovered something important!
Everyone says thet 1 inch is the same as 2.5 cm.
Well, IT´S A LIE!!!!!!!!!
The truth is that 1 inch is actually 2.6 cm. haha!

Brazil: Day 3

Today Pedro is coming to sleep at our house because his dad is going to Sao Paulo for the day (work). We convinced his dad to let Pedro miss school tommorrow so we can finnally go to the beach. It´ll be awesome (and he´ll be really gratefull to us).

Today my mom went with my grandpa to put up some ads for her work, they´re not back yet. While they were at it, my grandma, Rafi, and I went to see if the Copacabana Fort was open for visits. Since it wasn´t, we took a taxi to the president´s palace. -it was the home of the president when Rio was the capital city of Brazil-. It had a beautiful pond, ducks, ice cream, trees and a huge back-yard. We actually saw a swan cuddle over her eggs under a bush!! Well the museum was closed so we walked along the beach´s edge. We passed besides a bookstore, we almost got in, but, Rafi was burning up, he was tired and couldn´t walk anymore. He was dressed in black shorts and a black T-shirt so it was even worse. We were luckily right in front of the train station so we got on a train and went home.

Since we got home, we watched TV and had a delicious lunch of rice, beans, mashed potatoes, and fried chicken.

2nd Day in Brazil

Today we had breakfast, and then went to a park. We ate, skated, climbed, and rode this car-ish thing that we had to drive and pedal by ourselves.



Later we had lunch with pedro and tio marcio. We had rice with beans, beef, and pudding.



We stayed at home for a while and then we went to the mall. We bought a pair of silver flowered shoes with a little bit of heels.

We ate at this restorant at the mall called Viena. It had buffet, menu, and rodisio (food comes by the tables and you pick what you want). I shared a plate of pasta with my mom. Rafi and Pedro had pizza rodisio. Well we got home pretty late and Pedro had school tommorrow, so we got home and went to sleep.

In Brazil

Today we woke up at 4:00 am to get to the airport at 5:00. We were going to Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. In the airplane, we had lots of fun and the time flew right by. Why?, you ask, because in front of every seat of the plane there was a tiny touch-screen that had games, music, movies, and much more. I watched 2 movies: 17 again and Little Miss Sunshine. I also played 2 games: Crunchy the Snake and Battleship. I also listened to the whole Hannah Montana the Movie CD. It was great! We had breakfast at Dunkin´ Donuts and on the plane. At DD, we had a donut each, and a juice box. On the plane, we had bread & butter, milk, yogurt and an alfajor.

When we got to Rio, we went to this bufet were we ate rice, french fries, meat, salad, and finally, CAKE.

Now we are at my grandparent´s house chilaxin´.

We're Back

At the factory we rode up a mountain in cable cars. Then we went to the actual factory were the wine is made. Later we went to their basement. Our parents, there, tasted different tipes of wine. While they did that we colored some grapes.

2nd Day in Santa Cruz

Today's my mom's b-day she got:

Today we have a tour of Santa Cruz Winery at 12:00. It is probably, now, about 9:45 AM, my mom is taking a shower and my dad and my brother are making a reservation to go to the observatorium tonight.
Well we just had a delicious buffet breakfast!!

The Day in Santa Cruz

Bad things me and Rafi found in and around the river:

• Sigar in a plant
• 2 soda bottles in the river
• plastic cups and bags
• milk-box in the water
• water is black
• bag with "droppings"

Info from the hotel:

• Pool opens at 09:00 AM and closes at 09:00 PM.
• Daycare is between the warm pool and the cold pool.
• There are three restorants.

The Rest of the Day:

We went to the pool, it was "REALLY" fun, considering the jaccuzzi was colder than the actual pool! haha!

After that we took a walk around the block, and honestly, nothing interesting.

Later we went to this restorant from the hotel that had great food but really bad service. We waited about 40 minutes for a pizza smaller than my head! Ok, maybe a little bigger.

Santa Cruz

I finally got to Santa Cruz. We are on floor three and our room is 302. The hotel looks tiny from the outside, but it's actually huge on the inside. in the reception there's this cool elevator made of glass, so you can actually see where you're going through.
We just had lunch:
Food:
Day 1>Lunch:

• Buffet: Steak, french fries, celery, empanadas.
• Dessert: Pineapple dipped in honey.
• Drink: Mango juice

Well we're resting beforre going to the pool. It looked really nice, we saw it from the outside. I'll tell you later about the rest of the day.

FYI

I successfully finished my bat-mitzva preparement classes with the maximum grade.

I have lots of space left there so I'll use it for my vacations if I don't find my journal!!

This year and next..

Hi to all the people. I am finishing the 1st semester of 6th grade. On winter vacation I'll be coing to Santa Cruz Resort for y mommy's b-day. Then August 8th I'm going to Brazil (rio) to see my grandparents. I'm really excited, I haven't seen them for a while and also want to find out how things are going between Laura and Pedro.

This year December 19th from 5:15 to whenever you want to leave (4:00 AM tops! haha), I'm celebrating my bat-mitzva!! After the ceremony most people do huge parties and dance all night long. Well I'm going to do a smaller one because...

I'M GOING TO SEE ALL YOU PEEPS TO BOSTON (finnally) JULY 2010!!! BE READY!!!

Well that's pretty much it for now, I guess I'll just tell you about Santa Cruz when I get there!

We're Leaving

Now we are at the airport in Uruguay. We are departing in 20 minutes. I REALLY miss my parents and my dog Spotty. This airport is so totaly BORING. There's this teeny-tiny KIOSK, and only 3 departure gates (in the whole airport!!).

The Last Few Days

Tommorrow we take the plane back to Chile. I really liked it here, but I really miss my parrents and Spotty, my dog.

A few days ago, we went to a fashion show. It was great!!

Now I'm going to the beach again. I love the WAVES. Well in the afternoon we're going to this ocean museum my brother wants to go to...

At the Mall

 Yesterday we went to the mall. We ate pasta. I got a new wallet. My grandma got a new sweater. My brother got a new sweater, a new book, and a keychain. Now I'm watching iCarly.

Yesterday

 Yesterday we went to a really fun water park. We also ate pizza and ice cream. At night we ate McDonald's.

Until Now

 Until now it hasn't been a blast, but we have eaten great food and the sand here is really soft. We got lost in the middle of nowhere and walked about 20 blocks until a bus driver saw us. Well, we also ate some delicious waffles with chocolate sauce.

On the Plane

 We are now on the plane to "Punta del Este". It's a really small plane. The people on the plane are really friendly. I ike that. The hotel we're going to is called "Iberia Hotel".We already gave the hotel phone number to my mom. I really hope we have a good time.

What's Happened

Well, on Saturday I'm going to punta del Este, Uruguay. I'm going with my brother Rafi and my grandparents on my dad's side. I call my grandma "omi" and my grandpa "tata". Their real names are Ruth Adler and Mario Elberg. They always do stuff with us and their house is like our 2nd home. I'm really excited to go to Uruguay. While we're traveling my dad will be in Barcelona, Spain, and my mom will just be relaxing at home.

Summer Vacation at Home

 The ant exterminators came today, so, since it's toxic, we sent spotty to a hotel for dogs. Me and my brother, Rafi, went to my grandma's house. A few days ago we saw the movie Bolt. It wasn't that good. Today we saw this movie about a chihuahua which was excellent. I love the idea of friendship between a chihuahua and a german sheopard. Today we washed my mom's car with the hose while the car played Hannah Montana  msic. Then it got dark and my mom was jumping around with us. I love it when my mom is in a good mood. I wished my dad was there too, but he was working after hours, as usual. Sadly there's nothing I cando about it, I wish I could.I wen't to see Dr. Pedro today. My ear's hurting, again. But, just as I thought, it was because of the pool. He almost made wear earplugs for the rest of my life, but he didn't.

What has Happened

 A few days ago was my dad's birthday, January 16.  Exacly that day, I gotbetter from my cold and all.My mom caught it instead. We saw hotel for Dogs yerterday. It's so sad when they separate the kids. After that we had McDonald's.  Then we went to our grandma's house because there were people seing our house. We're trying to sell it, did I tell you that before? We're trying to get an apartment near school.But when I get the address I promise I'll tell you. Nothing more to say, I guess I'll just talk to you later.

In and Out

 Now I'm on the plane to Santiago. It was really hard to say goodbye. I'm going to miss them all a lot. My granma, my mom and me cried. But we'll go back to rio in august.

Last day in Rio

 Today is my last day in rio. Today is also my grandparents' aniversary. We went shopping for books and clothes. I got 2 shirts, a book, and a good meal! My grandma only got a meal, which my mom stole. My dad got a good meal too, my mom stole half of it (she was really hungry). Now I'm watching Sky High. I love that movie.

Back to Rio

Now we are in the plane, back to Rio. I don´t remember the flight number... well, everything went by too fast. I´m still sick. I just sneezed. We´re blasting off in 5, 4, 3, 2 .....

Maracajaú

Today we woke up at 5:00 AM to go to Maracajaú. There we had breakfast, not a very good one. Then we got on the boat. We went 7 kilometers into the sea. When we stopped, we put on our gear, and went snorkling. We saw tons of fish and coral. It was awesome.

Another Free Day

Today I´m free again! Except I got sick yesterday. awww. I´ve got a runny nose, sore throat, and a belly ake. We did todays aquarobics anyways, to wake up. My mom didn´t let me eat a cheese omelet for breakfast so I was really sad. Poor me!! I watched TV for a while, but later I realized there was nothing good to watch, I got up and went dounstairs. Later I had a delicious lunch at the pool grill. Mmmmm... Now I´m laughing at my brother asking for food at the pool bar!!

Well, that´s how I feel right now, this is the life.

Buggy

Today we went on a buggy trip. The driver was called Manuel. Buggies are specially made to ride on dunes. Dunes are sand formations, huge sand formations. Like mountains, except, made completely out of sand. We passed the whole day with him and the buggy, making some stops. First we went to some dunes that had a place where you could ride camels in the middle of the dunes.Then we crossed the rest of the dunes in that place. Then we went to a really warm lake with millions of tiny little fish swimming arround everyones feet. Then we went to more dunes. Then we went to this huge dune that had an Aero Bunda. That is like a canopy, except you land in the middle of a huge lake. Then we had lunch at a beach restaurant. It was delicious. Then we went to these really cool, huge, soft dunes where I almost fell off the buggy.

After that...

After having lunch, we went to the pool. My brother, Rafi, threw up the whole buffet. Before the pool, when we were having lunch, my dad gave me a green pepper he had on his plate. Unfortunately, before he gave it to me, it was on top of a really HOT sauce. And since I hadn´t seen it, I ate it! I almost blew up! That was funny.

After taking a shower, we went to a pizza place to have pizza (duh). It was great. I had pineaple juice too. It was also great. But I didn´t have desert. No time. Also, my aunt Isabella gave me a REALLY cute outfit!!

Lunch Plans

We´re having lunch at the grill beside the pool. I pay half a buffet and the boys don´t pay. The adults pay whole price; R$ 35.00.

Back from Pipa

It was a long day. Yes, we did see the dolphins. From far away, though. It was so hot out! I almost melted. Haha. But it was fun, the waves were great!!I tried 3 new foods today. 2 that I liked, and 1 that was gross. I liked this thing called macaxeira, or aipim, and the other called cocada. But the tapioca I tried was simply disgusting. Yay!! Tomorrow I am free!! No expeditions or long trips tomorrow. We´re just going to stay in the hotel pool, do dance and arobics class...

Pipa

Pipa is the beach we are going to today. They say the water is even better than Pirangi (the beach we went to yesterday). They also say it is full of dolphins! The dolphin is my favorite animal. My second favoite is the baby chimp.

I'm Back

I'm back from the beach and city tour with Gil (the new tour guide).Her real name is Gilvania, but we call ehr Gil (wich is pronounced geeoo). There are tons of weird names here. The ones I've heard so far were: Nildo, Gilvania, Socorro, and Espedito. Here are some things I remember from the city tour. There was this beach that was before, coveres in rocks. Now it isn't. Because of that they call it "Praia Areia Preta" (Black Sand Beach). Oh, and alsothey said, there was a law in Natal, that said that buildindings could have 4 floors maximum. There was also a fort built in the middle of the sea. It's not any fort. It's a real fort. A war fort. But there was so much sun that I didn't see much of it. We also wen't to the beach, as I said before. The water was warm and light turquoise. We jumped over some huge waves and I got a new bikini. Did you know that Natal, which is in Brazil, is closer to Africa than to São Paulo, which is also in Brazil? Natal is just 2800 kilometers from Africa. Cool, huh?

Beach

Today we're going to a beach in Natal. We're going on a tour-bus. They say it's really fun out there. I hope I have as much fun as they say I will.

Later

It's about 10:00 PM. I'm in this huge bed that is all mine and my brother's. My parents' bed is more bouncy than ours. I wanted that one. But, never mind. The pools are so... wow! The big one has music and lights. The smaller one has a bar inside the pool.

In Natal

We are on the bus to the hotel. Tomorrow we're going on a city-tour. Our tour guide's name is Nildo. Haha. After we settle in, we're going to the hotel restaurant. They say the food's really good. It is a 5 star hotel.

Natal

Natal is a city in Brazil north of Rio. It is really nice. They say the ocean is as warm as bathtub water. That's where I'm going now. Right now I'm in the plane with my mom, my dad, my brothe Rafi, my cousin Pedro ( we're going to call him Pedro for now because Laura's boy friend isn' here), Pedro's dad (my uncle Marcio), Pedro's mom (my aunt Isabella), my grandpa Kopler, and my grandma Guyta. We're going to take off in 5-10 minutes (the pilot just said so). Correction; we're taking off now. Talk to you later...

Almost Beach Party

Guess what? I was at the beach with my parents, my brother, and Pedrito. A few minutes ago, my mom's old friend, his wife, and his 2 daughters got here. Then, after awhile, Laura and Pedro got here.Now it's a beach party (it would be if there were more sun).

New Year Surprise

New year was huge!! There were tons of fireworks and there were lighten cruises in the water at the beach. Before new year we had a family new year party. Pedro's mom has a sister. Her name is Laura. She has a boyfriend. His name is Pedro. Okay. Now we have 2 Pedros. We're going to call my coisin Pedrito and Laura's boy frieng is just going to be Pedro (so we don't get confused). As I was saying, at the party, Pedro and Laura were discussing why Pedro was wearing pants in all this heat. They didn't reach a conclusion. At the beach, the count down started: 10, 9, 8, 7... And suddenly... Pedro started to jump on one foot. He was taking something out of his sock. It was... a box. He oppened it, and said, with a ring in his hand, -Laura, will you marry me?- Then every one started clapping and screaming. That was so romantic. And that's why he had pants on, to cover the box-in-the-sock! And... at the first firework... they...
